Sao Paulo is the name of both a state in Brazil the capital city of that state. The city of Sao Paulo is located in the middle of a huge metropolitan area, with a population of 20 million people, and has the largest economy and the richest cultural life in South America. You may want to stay a few extra days to explore the city and its many attractions.

To go to the city of Sao Paulo you must fly to Guarulhos (GRU) or to Congonhas (CGH, domestic flights only). Viracopos (VCP) is another possibility, but it is located at about 100km from the city of Sao Paulo.

Because Sao Paulo is a very busy city, we have decided to held the conference at MASP, in its most lively area, Avenida Paulista. There are plenty of hotels at walking distance from MASP, and we strongly recommend that you stay close to the confernece venue to avoid the traffic and the overloaded public transportation.

In order to avoid high costs, we suggest that you book your hotel well in advance. You can cancel it later, at no cost, if you decide not to come (make sure to choose the "cancel at no cost" fare). Here are some suggestions of hotels that are located close to the venue:
